The one other cost, said up front: when a client pays an invoice through your portal, OurPortal takes 2% and Stripe charges its own processing fee. Nothing is deducted from work you bill outside the portal.

Is it really one payment?

Yes. $199 once unlocks a portal, and everything listed on this page keeps working with no monthly bill. We plan to add an optional paid extra later — a custom domain of your own, and some AI help writing your pages — but it will be exactly that: optional, and on top of a portal that already works without it.

Do my clients have to pay for anything?

No. Your clients sign in free, on any number of devices. The only money that moves between you and a client is an invoice you send them.

How do I get paid, and what do you take?

You connect your own Stripe account, so invoice payments land in your account — we never hold your money. When a client pays an invoice through your portal we take 2%, and Stripe takes its own processing fee on top. On a $1,000 invoice that is $20 to us. If you would rather bill outside the portal, you can: nothing forces payments through it.

Do I need to be technical?

No, and that is the whole point. There is no code, no template language and no plugin store. You pick a starting point, edit the words in a form, and press publish. If you can write an email you can run this.

Can I use my own domain name?

Not yet — today your portal lives at your business name plus our domain. A custom domain is the first thing on the paid-extra list above. We would rather say that plainly than let you find out after paying.

Are the e-signatures legally binding?

OurPortal records a simple electronic signature: your client types their name, and we store the time, their IP address and a fingerprint of the exact document they agreed to. That is enough for the everyday agreements most service businesses sign, and it will show you if the document was edited afterwards. It is not a certified e-signature service, so for anything high-stakes, ask your lawyer first.

What happens to files my clients upload?

They go into private storage, not a public link. Every download is checked against who is asking: you can reach your own clients’ files, and a client can only ever reach their own. There is no shareable URL to leak.

What if I stop using it?

Nothing expires and no card gets charged again, because there is no card on file. Your portal keeps serving your clients whether you log in weekly or twice a year.
