For designers
Deposit paid before the first draft.
Files in one place, feedback in one place, and the deposit taken before you open the software. Which also ends "which version are you actually looking at".
No card. Two questions. Your first 2 clients are free.
Sound familiar
What this usually looks like.
- 01
Feedback and versions live across email attachments, a shared folder and a DM thread, so nobody is sure which draft the client is talking about.
- 02
The deposit goes out through whichever app is quickest that day, and looks nothing like the studio they thought they were hiring.
- 03
Every client lands somewhere slightly different, so there is no first impression of what working with you is like — there are five.
Where to start
What you send them first.
In this order. Everything with a name below is a document that is already written — open it, change what does not fit, send it.
- 01
Simple services agreementFree plan
Who owns the work, when they own it, and what happens if the project stops halfway.
- 02
Brand and audience questionnairePaid plans
The deeper brief — audience, taste, what they hate — pinned down before you start guessing.
- 03
Your first bill
Half up front is normal. This is how you ask for it without feeling rude.
- 04
Approval and revisionsPaid plans
Sent with each draft, so feedback arrives once, in one place, with a decision at the end of it.
Nothing to write
And everything else you might need.
19 documents come with your portal — contracts, forms, checklists and two short guides about money. 5 documents are on the free plan, the rest on any paid one. Every word in them is yours to change, and they are starting points rather than legal advice.

Straight answers
A couple of things worth asking.
Can clients comment on a file itself?
No. Feedback happens through the form you send with a draft and through your conversation with them — there is no drawing on the artwork.
Do I still need a portfolio site?
Not necessarily. Your public page can be a light front door on its own, or keep your portfolio where it is and send people here once you are working together.
Ready when you are
Set it up this afternoon, invite your next client tonight.
Free for your first 2 clients — the whole thing, no card — and $999 once if you would rather own it than rent it.
